The NBA is set for an exciting matchup in the Western Conference this Monday, as the Denver Nuggets (43-25) take on the Golden State Warriors (39-28).

Denver

Coach Michael Malone and the Denver Nuggets are having a solid season. They currently hold a 43-25 record, good for third in the competitive Western Conference. They share the fourth-shortest title odds at +1400 with the Golden State Warriors.

Despite their success, the Nuggets have struggled recently, going 2-3 in their last five games, including a disappointing 126-123 home loss to the Wizards.

As 12.5-point favorites in that game, they failed to cover the spread, despite outshooting Washington in field goal percentage. Nikola Jokic had an impressive game, scoring 40 points with 13 rebounds and nine assists.

Golden State

The Golden State Warriors have been on a remarkable run since the trade deadline, sporting a 14-1 record with Jimmy Butler in the lineup.

They’ve won their last seven games, including recent victories over the Trail Blazers (130-120), Kings (130-104), and Knicks (97-94), bringing their overall record to 39-28 and securing the sixth seed in the competitive Western Conference.

In their close win against the Knicks, the Warriors, favored by 6.5 points, did not cover the spread.

They won the turnover battle (11 to 13), but the Knicks outperformed them in shooting and rebounding. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 28 points on 40% shooting.

Nuggets-Warriors Best Bet

Despite the Warriors’ impressive performance lately, I can’t resist taking nearly two possessions with a top-tier team like the Nuggets. I genuinely believe that Denver is the premier team in the Western Conference, so I’m inclined to support them in this away game.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to the Nuggets’ offensive efficiency. They rank second in the league, averaging 117.5 points per 100 possessions.

Additionally, they are fourth in three-point shooting at 38.2%, which should allow them to keep up with Golden State in this matchup.

Best Bet: Nuggets +4.5 Points at -110 odds
