In exchange for Bunting and a 2026 fourth-round pick, they received defenseman Luke Schenn and forward Tommy Novak while getting a 2028 fifth-round pick for Desharnais.
Pittsburgh ranks among the bottom 10 in five-on-five expected goals against and has allowed four or more goals in all seven games since returning from the break.
This season, they have struggled as one of the worst moneyline bets, with a record of 10-22 on the road and only seven wins in 26 games as underdogs.
Vegas
The Golden Knights aim to extend their undefeated streak on their five-game homestand with a third straight win and their sixth in seven games. They currently lead the Pacific Division, four points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers with one game in hand.
William Karlsson is close to returning from an injury but won’t play on Friday, while top defenseman Shea Theodore is out week-to-week after an injury sustained while playing for Team Canada.

Despite these injuries, Vegas has been playing strong hockey, ranking first in expected goals percentage and third in shot attempt percentage since early February. They rank 12th in goals scored and 7th in goals against during that stretch.
Additionally, Vegas is second in shots per 60 minutes and first in shots against since February 1. They’ve been very profitable at home, winning 21 of 29 games as favorites and holding the fifth-best record against the puck line at 36-25.
