The Lady Rebels keep ascending in the Mountain West

UNLV Lady Rebels picked up a 69-65 win against Colorado State on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Rebels have claimed their share of the regular season title with the win and is the second sweep that the Lady Rebels have completed.

UNLV had four players that scored in double-digits.

The Lady Rebels were led by McKinna Brackens, who scored 18 points, went 5-for-10 from the floor, 6-for-8 from the free-throw line, and 2-for-4 from the 3-point line.

Aaliyah Alexander was the second-leading scorer with 14 points, while Alyssa Brown picked up her fourth double-double of this season, scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Brown also went 4-for-4 from the floor and three-point line.

Amarachi Kimpson added 10 points and was the second-leading rebounder with seven.

Hannah Simental led Colorado State with 19 points. Emma Ronsiek added 16 points. Marta Leimane scored 15 points. Kloe Forebe led the Rams in rebounding with six.

UNLV took a 13-point lead with a 13-0 run to bring the score to 31-18. The Lady Rebels had a double-digit lead, 36-23, at the half.

The Rams returned to go on a 9-3 run to bring them to within seven of the Lady Rebels.

Both teams went back and forth to bring the score to 67-65. The Lady Rebels went back up by four.

The Lady Rebels head home for the next two games to host Boise State first on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
