As the Ravens and Bills gear up for their clash in Buffalo, the stakes couldn’t be higher. With both teams boasting MVP-caliber quarterbacks in Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, this game promises to be a thrilling showdown.
However, when it comes to making a pick, I’m leaning towards the Ravens to not only win but to do so by a slim margin of 1-13 points at +135 odds.
Baltimore
Let’s break it down. The Ravens have been on a roll lately, showcasing a potent offense that has been hard to stop.
In their Wild Card victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore, led by Derrick Henry, racked up an impressive 299 rushing yards.
With Henry in the backfield, the Ravens have a physical running game that can wear down defenses, and the Bills’ run defense has shown vulnerabilities this season.
They rank 19th in opponent yards per rush, which is a glaring issue when facing a team that thrives on the ground. The Ravens’ offensive line has been dominant, and they’ve shown they can control the line of scrimmage effectively.

In their previous meeting this season, Baltimore ran the ball 34 times for 271 yards, completely overpowering the Bills’ front seven. If they can replicate that performance, it will be tough for Buffalo to keep pace.
Moreover, the Ravens have a strategic advantage in their ability to mix up their offensive schemes. Expect to see a lot of two-back and two-tight end sets, which have been effective in maximizing their rushing attack.
This versatility will put pressure on the Bills’ defense, which has struggled against the run, especially when they deploy lighter personnel groupings.
The weather could also play a factor in this game. With frigid conditions expected, the Ravens’ physical style of play may give them the edge they need to grind out a victory.
Jackson’s ability to make plays with his legs adds another layer of complexity for the Bills’ defense, which will have to account for both him and Henry on every snap.
Buffalo
On the other side, the Bills have been impressive, especially with Josh Allen at the helm. However, their recent performances against playoff-caliber teams have raised some eyebrows.
The Bills went 2-3 against playoff teams this season, allowing an average of 33 points per game.
This trend is concerning, especially when you consider that the Ravens have been more consistent against tough opponents, going 7-3 against playoff teams and allowing just 18.5 points per game.

While the Bills have a high-powered offense, their reliance on the passing game could be problematic in this matchup. The Ravens’ defense has improved significantly in the second half of the season, ranking second in EPA/play since Week 9.
They’ve held four of their last five opponents under 60 rushing yards, which means Buffalo may have to rely heavily on Allen’s arm to win this game.
If the Ravens can force the Bills into predictable passing situations, it could lead to turnovers and missed opportunities for Buffalo.
Ravens-Bills Best Bet
In terms of betting, the 1-point spread feels too tight for my liking, and the short moneyline price doesn’t offer much value.
Instead, targeting the winning margin market with the Ravens to win by 1-13 points at +135 odds seems like the best play.
This bet captures the essence of what this game is likely to be: a hard-fought battle that could go either way, but ultimately tilts in favor of Baltimore.
While both teams are capable of explosive plays, the Ravens’ balanced attack and superior run game give them the edge in this matchup.
With the stakes high and the pressure on, I believe Baltimore will find a way to secure a narrow victory over Buffalo, setting the stage for a potential legacy-defining game in the AFC Championship.
