According to Pro Football Talk, the Las Vegas Raiders are said to have “zero interest” in Colorado coach Deion Sanders.

As originally reported by Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic.com, Sanders is clearly using the Raiders for leverage.

It has been reported that Sanders has a “very strong interest” in the Raiders HC position.

In his two seasons at Colorado, coach Sanders is 13-12, including this season with Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and his son, Sheduer, at quarterback.

It is expected that Hunter and the younger Sanders will be top picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Shilo Sanders, Sanders’ other son, who plays cornerback, will also be entering the draft.

Sanders said recently that the only way he will coach in the NFL, is if he is able to coach his sons.

The Raiders have lined up six known head coaching candidates. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken, former Jets head coach Robert Saleh, and former USC and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.

Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, and Steve Spagnuolo have all had virtual interviews with the Raiders this past week. Pete Carroll is scheduled for an in-person interview this Monday.
