Raiders’ opponents for 2025 finalized after end of season

The Las Vegas Raiders know who they will be facing for the 2025 season.

After Sunday’s loss against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Raiders’ season came to a merciful end with a 4-13 record.

With all three of the Raiders’ divisional rivals in the AFC West all making the playoffs, the Raiders should be concerned about being behind the curve. Antonio Pierce is still currently the head coach, but that is subject to change at the moment.

The Raiders hold the sixth overall pick in the Draft and over $112 million in cap space to work with, so the hope is that they can fix their quarterback situation and build a competitive roster for next season.

Fortunately, finishing last in their division gives the Raiders an advantage of a last-place schedule, meaning they get some games against other last-place finishers in their respective divisions.

The AFC West draws the NFC East and AFC South as opponents for their division next season. The Raiders will face the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants at Allegiant Stadium, while they will go on the road against the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.

The Raiders also get home games against the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears, as well as a road matchup against the New England Patriots, due to their last-place finish.

Of course, the Raiders will see their AFC West foes in the Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos twice next season as well.

The home slate for the Raiders certainly looks winnable for next season. The Raiders face teams who hold four of the top five picks in the Draft at Allegiant Stadium, while the other two teams in the Bears and Cowboys are subject to serious changes this offseason.

The road games are where the Raiders should expect to struggle, however. While facing the Patriots will be nice, six of the Raiders’ eight opponents are double-digit winners (Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Texans, Eagles, Commanders). The Colts also were in contention for a Wild Card spot, but it remains to be seen how consistent they will be.

While the Raiders know their opponents, they do not yet know the dates and times of their games with each. That will be revealed when the schedule is announced, likely sometime in May.

The Raiders will hope to be carrying a new and improved squad in 2025. With this schedule, a bounce-back season is not necessarily out of the question if the right moves are made.
