UNLV Lady Rebels/Oklahoma Sooners Preview

The Lady Rebels (4-1) are coming in hot facing No. 9 ranked Oklahoma Sooners (4-0) on Friday after a commanding win against San Diego, 88-54.

This will be a test for the Lady Rebels as Oklahoma is undefeated. This will be the Sooners’ second game on the road in this young season. The Sooners will have a lot of confidence coming to UNLV after a 79-49 win over Wichita State on the road where they dominated in every area on the court. This will be the fourth meeting between the two teams. The Lady Rebels lead the series 2-1.

The Sooners are led by 6-4 center, Raegan Beers, who averages 21.3 points per game, and guard Payton Verhulst who led the team with 16 points in their win against Wichita State.  Oklahoma could be a tough opponent for the Lady Rebels as they have won all four of their games by 30 points—an occurrence that has never happened in their school’s history.

The Lady Rebels have seen success from getting everyone involved on the court, especially their bench players. The Lady Rebels will look to sophomore guard Amarchi Kimpson to lead the team. averaging 13.4 points per game. They are going to need to all they help they can get to defeat the Sooners.

The Lady Rebels will take on No.9 Oklahoma Sooners on Friday, Nov. 22 at the Thomas & Mack Center at 6:30 p.m.
