The Cincinnati Bengals will play the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football, an important AFC North matchup.
Last Sunday, the Bengals secured a 41-24 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, while the Ravens dominated the Denver Broncos with a 41-10 win.
Cincinnati’s record of 4-5 places them third in the division. They have a strong 3-1 road record and three wins in their last four games.
The Ravens, boasting a 6-3 record and a 3-1 mark at home, have been on a roll, winning six of their last seven outings.
Notably, Bengals receiver Tee Higgins is listed as doubtful due to a quad injury, and Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely will not play because of a hamstring issue.
Cincinnati Bengals
Quarterback Joe Burrow has accumulated 2,244 passing yards, ranking among the top five quarterbacks in the league. Additionally, Burrow has thrown 20 touchdowns against only four interceptions.
He recently delivered an impressive performance, tossing five touchdowns in a game against the Raiders.
For the Bengals to have a chance at upsetting the Ravens on Thursday, Burrow will need to be in top form.
The Bengals rank seventh in the NFL in points scored per game as a team (26.2). Burrow is second overall in passing touchdowns, and the team has also contributed seven rushing touchdowns. However, their strength lies in the passing game.

Baltimore struggles defensively, allowing the most passing yards per game and the third-most passing touchdowns in the league. If Burrow maintains his current level of play, he could exploit the weaknesses in the Ravens’ defense.
On the defensive side, Cincinnati must focus on stopping the run. Running back Derrick Henry is a dominant force on the ground, and quarterback Lamar Jackson can extend plays with his mobility.
Successfully containing Henry will be crucial for the Bengals’ chances of winning this road game. If they can prevent Derrick Henry from beating them, they may come away with a victory.
Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore boasts an impressive ground game, prominently led by Derrick Henry, who shows no signs of slowing down. Henry tops the NFL in rushing yards by a significant margin (1,052 yards) and has three more touchdowns than the next closest competitor.
The Bengals allow 130 rushing yards per game and the second-most rushing touchdowns. All signs suggest Henry will have a standout performance on Thursday.
Lamar Jackson is in pursuit of his third MVP award, and it’s looking promising. Jackson is currently the favorite for the award at +300 odds at BetMGM.

With only two interceptions to his name and 20 touchdowns thrown, he ranks among the top quarterbacks in yardage as well (2,379). Jackson has a knack for extending plays while keeping his eyes on the downfield action.
On Thursday, he should have ample time in the pocket, which does not bode well for the Bengals. If he continues to perform well, the Ravens will likely win by at least a touchdown.
While the Ravens do have some challenges in pass defense, the Bengals may struggle to establish a running game against them.
Baltimore allows the fewest rushing yards per game (75.7), making it difficult for Cincinnati to diversify their offense.
Much of this challenge stems from the Ravens often taking an early lead. Baltimore needs to focus on defending against the pass and ensure that wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is closely covered at all times.
If they can achieve that, the Ravens will be in a great position for a victory.
Bengals-Ravens Best Bet
Currently, the Ravens are favored by six points at BetMGM, and the over/under for total points is set at 52.5.
This should be a close game. However, the six-point spread doesn’t seem as enticing to me as the total.
52.5 points is a lot of points on a short week in this game. While both of these offenses have been good this season, the total feels high.
I would bet Under 52.5 points at -105 odds at BetMGM.
