The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The Bucs will miss two key offensive players: wide receivers Mike Evans who has a hamstring injury and Chris Godwin has an ankle injury.
In addition, the Chiefs are dealing with injuries to several important contributors. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown has a shoulder injury, wide receiver Rashee Rice is out for the season with a knee injury, and running back Isiah Pacheco has a broken leg. They are all currently on injured reserve.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Quarterback Baker Mayfield has completed 202 of 284 passes for 2,189 yards and 21 touchdowns with nine interceptions and a rating of 104.9. He has also carried the ball 29 times for 169 yards (5.8 average) and two touchdowns.
Mayfield has thrown for 300 or more yards four times this year, including in his last three games. In last Sunday’s loss to Atlanta, he completed 37 of 50 passes (74 percent) for 330 yards and three touchdowns. However, he threw two interceptions.

With Evans and Godwin on the shelf and receivers Sterling Shepard and Jalen McMillan listed as questionable with hamstring injuries, tight end Cade Otton should see his role expanded against the Chiefs.
In eight games this season, he has 36 receptions for 344 yards (9.6 average) and three touchdowns. In last Sunday’s loss, Otton had nine receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has not played up to his MVP ability this season. However, he continues to find a way to win games.
He has only completed 154 out of 225 passes, achieving a completion rate of 68.4 percent. He has accumulated 1,651 passing yards and thrown for eight touchdowns, although he has also been intercepted nine times, resulting in a lackluster quarterback rating of 84.9. The lowest rating of his career.
Additionally, he has scored once on the ground. Recently, Mahomes had an impressive game against the Raiders, throwing for 262 yards and two touchdowns.

His primary target has been tight end Travis Kelce, he leads the team with 38 receptions for 335 yards, averaging 8.8 yards per catch, along with one touchdown.
He has gained 135 yards after the catch and converted 18 first downs. In the recent victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, he posted 10 catches for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Bucs-Chiefs Best Bet
The Chiefs defense has been tremendous this season. They’ve limited teams and allowed their offense to win games. That being said, oddsmakers have a 9-point spread in favor of the Chiefs.
While the Bucs are injured, that does feel like a lot of points. The Chiefs are undefeated for a reason, but I don’t feel comfortable laying that many points with them.
I’d back the underdog Bucs to at least cover and keep this game within that 9-point spread.
Bucs +9 points at -110 odds at BetMGM is the best bet in this one.
