Social media drags NFL Hall of Fame QB for endorsing Trump

As Americans come down the stretch of the 2024 presidential race, celebrities for both candidates are coming out. The latest is former NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre.

Favre has been a long-time Donald Trump supporter and he made an appearance at a Trump rally Wednesday in Wisconsin, which is a swing state that Trump will need in order to win this election.

“It’s an honor to be back here where it all started to campaign with the next president of the United States, Donald J. Trump,” he told the crowd at the Resch Center in the Green Bay suburb of Ashwaubenon.

Favre went on to slam President Joe Biden’s comments when he slipped and called Trump supporters garbage.

“I can assure you, we’re not garbage,” Favre said. “How dare he say that?  Looking out, I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see everyday Americans that make this country great.”

But while Farve declared his allegiance to Trump, many didn’t forget that Favre was caught up in a scandal in his home state of Mississippi where it was alleged that he stole millions meant for the poor in that state, and social media didn’t let him forget it.

As you can tell, a lot of people haven’t forgiven or forgotten about the Favre allegations, although, he has never been officially charged with a crime.
