The Detroit Tigers host the Cleveland Guardians in the fourth game of their American League Divisional Series. The Guardians are on the brink of elimination and will attempt to force a fifth game in the series.
Cleveland Guardians
The Guardians are sending right-hander Tanner Bibee to the mound. He pitched 4.2 innings, allowing four hits and one walk, while striking out six in a 7-0 win in the series opener.
This season, he pitched in 31 games, all starts, and logged 173.2 innings of work, allowing 150 hits, 67 earned runs, and 44 walks while striking out 187.

He started four games against the Tigers during the regular season, going 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA, four walks, and 19 strikeouts.
Cleveland’s offense has been lackluster this series. They will need third baseman Jose Ramirez to step up in this game. He is one of the Guardians top hitters. In 158 games, he batted .279 with 39 doubles, two triples, 39 homers, and 114 runs scored.
He drove in a run in the first game of the series but has been hitless the past two games. He hit Detroit pitching well during the regular season, batting .347 with five doubles, five homers, and 12 RBI in 13 games.
Detroit Tigers
The Tigers plans to use a bullpen game, similar to its successful strategy in the third game of the series. It will rely on its offense, particularly center fielder Matt Vierling.
Vierling had a strong performance in the second game of the series with two hits, including a double and two walks.
Throughout the season, he has been one of the Tigers top hitters, with a .257 batting average, 28 doubles, five triples, 16 homers, and 57 RBI in 144 games.

Rookie second baseman Colt Keith adds depth to the team’s offense. In 12 regular-season games against the Guardians, he had a .286 batting average with a triple, two homers, and seven RBI.
Keith’s contribution was evident in Wednesday’s win over Detroit, where he went 1-for-3 with a run scored. In 148 games this season, Keith batted .260 with 15 doubles, four triples, 13 homers, 61 RBI, and 54 runs scored.
Guardians-Tigers Best Bet
This Tigers team has been incredible the last month. It’s difficult to comprehend how well they’ve been playing. They swept the Astros last round and have the Guardians on the ropes.
The Guardians have been one of the best teams in the league and they cannot figure out this Tigers team either. The Guardians came out and dominated the first game of the series, however since then the Tigers have had all the momentum.
They have a lot of similarities to last year’s Diamondbacks team that went all the way to the World Series. The Tigers winning this game and eliminating the Guardians won’t surprise me at this point.
The Tigers on the moneyline at +105 odds is the best bet in this one.
