With only one game remaining in the WNBA regular season, the Aces will face the Dallas Wings. The Aces will be missing Chelsea Gray, A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, and Kelsey Plum due to rest.

Aces Wings

The Aces have all but secured the fourth seed, which means they will face the Seattle Storm. It would take a Sun loss and an Aces win to move them to the third seed. The Sun play before the Aces, so if they lose, things could get interesting, but with the Aces choosing to rest their starters with a short turnaround for the playoffs, it seems they are content with the fourth spot.

The Dallas Wings enter this game on an eight-game losing streak, and having been eliminated from the playoffs, they will be playing all of their starters. Teaira McCowan will be the lone Wings starter not available tonight after receiving another technical foul in her last game, which resulted in a one-game suspension.

Dallas has three players averaging more over 15 points per game, led by Arike Ogunbowale, who has having an outstanding season, averaging 22.2 points per game. Natasha Howard averages 17.7 points per game, while Satou Sabally averages 17.4 points per game, rounding out the Wings’ double-digit scorers.

As for the Aces, it will be interesting to see who starts tonight with the starters out for rest. The projected starters includes Sydney Colson, Tiffany Hayes, Kate Martin, Alysha Clark, and Megan Gustafson. This is also a game where Queen Egbo and Kiersten Bell might receive some playing time before the playoffs start on Sunday.

With tonight being the last regular season home game, it’s fan appreciation night at the Michelob Ultra Arena, with every fan getting an Aces rally towel. In addition, fans will get a Las Vegas Aces fan appreciation flag.

Following today’s Aces Wings game, the Aces will play in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday, September 22nd, with a matchup and timing yet to be determined.
