A’ja Wilson was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week for the 21st time in her career. With her 21st Player of the Week honor, A’ja Wilson ties Diana Taurasi for fifth all-time. Tina Charles leads all WNBA players with 32 Player of the Week honors.

A’ja Wilson led the Aces to a 2-1 record this week, averaging 36.3 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 3.0 assists per game. Wilson shot 66% from the field and made two three-pointers. Wilson just needs one more player of the week award to tie Tamika Catchings for fourth place all-time, with 22. Only five players in league history have received as many or more career player of the week accolades as Wilson: Tina Charles (32), Candace Parker (27), Elena Delle Donne (24), Tamika Catchings (22) and Diana Taurasi (21).

This week, she has three games against the Sky, Sun, and Liberty, with a chance to earn her 22nd player of the week award.

A’ja Wilson continues to make WNBA history
