Edgar Berlanga: The Rising Star

Boxing on the biggest stage of his career, 27 yr old, Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) says ,”I won’t let the bright lights of the moment get too big for me and I can’t allow myself to give Alvarez too much respect, either.”

With an undefeated record and a reputation for delivering explosive knockouts, this “Rising Star” has quickly captured the boxing world’s attention. His aggressive style and raw power have earned him the nickname “The Chosen One,” and he’s seen as a major player in the future of boxing.

Canelo has been getting an earful from Berlanga and he hopes he can back up his fight talk.

Berlanga’s manager, Keith Connolly, stated “Edgar’s got bombs in his hands and I expect him to shock the world on September 14th.”

The co-feature is WBA middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (30-3-3, 18 KO) who will face Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KO) in a fight that’s been on the table for several years. Lara’s last fight was  beating Michael Zerafa in March, making 2024 his first multi-fight year since 2019, while Garcia hasn’t fought at all since beating Jose Benavidez Jr in his 2022  welterweight debut.

As the main fight draws near, the excitement continues to build and boxing fans should prepare for a night of action. With both fighters poised to give their all, this showdown is not to be missed!
