Every team across the WNBA will be competing in the Commissioner’s Cup and possibly win a $500,000 prize in the end. Many other teams have already began playing their tournament games, but this will be the first game for Las Vegas.

In the western conference, Las Vegas is ranked as the second-best team to compete for the championship. Only one team currently sits in front of them in the rankings, the Minnesota Lynx. It is ironic because in their last meeting it was the Aces who came out on top.
Firstly, the Aces will be heading to Texas to face off against the Dallas Wings to begin the tournament.
Commissioner’s Cup
The Commissioner’s Cup is a spotlight placed on charities and sponsorships for the WNBA. For instance, this season the Las Vegas Aces will be showing their support for the abortion laws currently in Nevada.
It was encouraged for every WNBA program to decide which organization to support with civic engagement. Specifically the focus for this season was surrounding reproductive rights being that the laws were recently adjusted in 2020.
Five games will be played in order to determine the depths of the success for each team in conclusion. It will be important for the Aces to assert dominance in this tournament as they have slightly struggled recently.
