Mercury Players to Watch
One player the Mercury will be without for this game will be Brittney Griner who is battling a toe injury. Griner fractured her toe before the season started and has not played yet in this season. The center will not be re-evaluated for at least another week.
WNBA legend, Diana Taurasi scored 23 points in their last matchup shooting primarily from three-point range. She shot 7-for-11 (63.6%) last Tuesday and was the leading scorer for her club.
Forward, Natasha Mack is a defensive force to be reckoned with as she had three blocks in their last matchup.
Aces Players to Watch
Last time these two went against each other A’Ja Wilson performed to her fullest capabilities due to the absence of Griner. She scored thirty points in this outing along with 13 rebounds to complete her double double.
Jackie Young took over the second quarter of this game with her eventually finishing with 23 points. However, she was not the most efficient in this game shooting 37.5% from the field.
This game could potentially end similarly the last one as there is still no change in either lineup. What will also be interesting to watch is if Chelsea Gray will make her debut this game. Gray has not played since facing a foot injury in the WNBA Finals.
