The Las Vegas Aces have announced that three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker will re-sign with the team.

“I am honored to announce that we have re-signed one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Candace Parker. Her leadership and court presence are invaluable to our team. We look forward to having her incredible skill set and contagious energy back on the floor,” said Aces general manager Natalie Williams.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to play the game I love while competing alongside my teammates and coaches. My family and I are excited to be back in Las Vegas and ready for another great season,” said Candace Parker.
Aces First Year
Parker started 18 games last year before being sidelined with a left foot injury that required surgery. She averaged averaged 9.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals a game, helping lead the Aces to a 16-2 record to start the season.
WNBA
Via press release, Parker was named to the WNBA Top 20 at 20 and W25 teams. She is a 10-time All-WNBA honoree who played her first 13 seasons in the league with the Los Angeles Sparks. Parker became the first player in WNBA history to be named Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player in the same season. When she averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while helping the Sparks to a 10-win improvement in 2008.
A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Parker led LA to 11 playoff appearances, including the 2016 WNBA Championship. She earned her second MVP award in 2013, averaging 17.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
The Tennessee grad signed as a free agent with Chicago on February 1, 2021. Parker led the Sky to their first-ever WNBA Championship that same year.
As a college player, Parker led the Lady Vols to the 2007 and 2008 NCAA Championships. Parker earned Final Four Most Outstanding Player accolades in both years.
