The Golden Knights and the rest of the NHL are officially on Olympic break. For Vegas fans, that means two things at once: a rare chance to watch Knights on the biggest stage, and a tight landing back into the stretch run.
Milano Cortina 2026 runs Feb. 11–22. Vegas returns to NHL play Feb. 25 in Los Angeles.
Start with Team USA
Most local eyes will be on the United States, and for good reason. Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin give Team USA high-end star power down the middle and on the back end.
Here is Team USA’s preliminary-round schedule. (All times listed are Pacific, local to Las Vegas.)
-
Thursday, Feb. 12: United States vs Latvia — 12:10 PM
-
Saturday, Feb. 14: Denmark vs United States — 12:10 PM
-
Sunday, Feb. 15: Germany vs United States — 12:10 PM
After that, the bracket starts to form. The qualification play-offs run Tuesday, Feb. 17, followed by the quarterfinals Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Then track the rest of the Knights
Vegas is represented across five national teams. That list includes Canada, which oddsmakers have at the top of the board.

What the odds say
The betting market sees Canada as the favorite, with the United States next in line. After that, Sweden sits in the next tier, while Finland and Czechia are priced as longer shots.
-
Canada: +120
-
USA: +200
-
Sweden: +600
-
Finland: +1100
-
Czechia: +2000
Odds do not decide medals. Still, they do reflect one simple truth: Canada and the U.S. are expected to be there late.
The real squeeze comes after Italy
