LAS VEGAS — Featherweight prospect Isaac Dulgarian has been released by the UFC following his first-round submission defeat to Yadier del Valle at UFC Vegas 110, a bout now under a cloud after dramatic, last-minute betting line swings toward del Valle.

The loss — and the line movement

Dulgarian was tapped in Round 1 in a lopsided finish. Hours before the fight, sportsbooks saw sharp movement: odds that had favored Dulgarian swung heavily toward del Valle, with some markets reporting 100+ point shifts late. The cause of the shift remains unexplained.

Reported reason vs. lingering questions

Per reporting, the “official reason” for Dulgarian’s release is the loss itself. Still, the timing coming on the heels of the line swing has intensified scrutiny. UFC, Dulgarian’s management, and IC360 (the UFC’s betting-integrity partner) have not issued statements as of press time. Dulgarian has not publicly addressed either his performance or the gambling chatter.

Integrity backdrop: Minner/Krause precedent

The UFC’s integrity posture hardened after Darrick Minner vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (Nov. 2022), a fight also preceded by suspicious line movement. That case led to an investigation, Nevada suspensions for Minner and coach James Krause, Minner’s release, and a UFC directive that fighters associated with Krause would be barred pending government inquiries. The promotion formalized a partnership with IC360 in 2023.

What happens next

  • Potential inquiries: Any official review would likely involve IC360 and state commissions; no probe has been announced.

  • Fighter status: Dulgarian enters free agency; future bookings will hinge on both athletic-commission clearance and market demand.

  • Policy lens: Expect renewed emphasis on betting education, disclosure, and monitoring across UFC events.

The UFC lists the loss as the reason for Dulgarian’s exit but until questions around the late odds swing are answered, this story isn’t going away.
