According to Athlon Sports, President Donald Trump announced his interest in adding UFC’s participation in the America 250 celebration.

Of course this will be a spectacle.

The announcement sent a shockwave through the MMA community.

This got the attention of a Conor McGregor. McGregor didn’t hesitate to insert himself in the mayhem.

On July 4, McGregor’s social media lit up with excitement.

“Happy 4th of July, USA. Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House. I would be honoured! Count me in!”

McGregor even went as far as to share a screenshot of a DM to UFC CEO Dana White. White replied, “I LOVE IT!!!!”

It’s difficult to know if the enthusiastic interaction between the two is staged or not but it’s definitely buzzworthy.

Let’s be honest about McGregor’s career as of late, it hasn’t been the straight line or easy to predict his next move.

One week it’s a possible jump to boxing, the next week it’s a run at the Irish presidency. To boot, you have to add in his legal issues as of late.

With the announcement from President Trump, fans might be able to get one last glimpse of McGregor before he sets sail on his next adventure.
