“I’m not going to be another washed-up fighter he beats for clout,” Chávez Jr. reportedly said. “This fight is going to put me back on track. There’s no way Jake Paul beats me.”
With everything on the line legacy, pride, and the chance to reclaim respect Chávez Jr. is treating this bout like a career revival. For Jake Paul, it’s another chance to silence critics. For boxing fans, it’s drama guaranteed.
Chavez Jr will leaving boxing?
Mexican comedian ‘Doknow’ was there for the round table, and translated as Chavez Jr continued: “He says if he loses this fight, he’s done. He’s done with boxing, he’ll never fight again.
“He’ll go into hiding for two years and then maybe come back because he’d be embarrassed to lose to a man like Jake Paul.”
It’ll be smart money to take on Chavez retiring becauase I don’t see how he’d be Jake Paul. Proving that he’s not just another washed up fighter is going to be tough for Chavez Jr.
