Tom Brady shares humorous exchange with former rival

The rivalry between Tom Brady and Eli Manning was reignited, at least for a brief moment.

At Fanatics Fest in New York City on Friday, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and current minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders was one of many athletes to participate in a WWE-style walkout. Playing the heel character, Brady antagonized the crowd by theatrically ripping into New York’s two NFL teams. He first spit on and stomped on a New York Jets jersey, before ripping an Eli Manning New York Giants jersey in half.

The latter prompted Manning to run down the ramp and jump on Brady’s back. The two would walk back up the ramp together shortly after, clearly amused by the encounter.

The connection between the two legendary quarterbacks is undeniable, as the younger Manning brother has been the biggest roadblock in Brady’s illustrious career.

Despite ending his career with an impressive 7-3 Super Bowl record, two of those three losses have come at the hands of Manning and the Giants. The most notable game between the two came in 2008, when Manning and the Giants shocked the then-undefeated Patriots 17-14 in Super Bowl XLII. Four years later, Manning bested Brady’s Patriots again 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI.

It is unlikely Brady and Manning will ever go at it in a WWE ring, but fans in attendance got to see what such an exchange would look like.
