Just two days after moving on from head coach Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders have made another surprising decision.
On Thursday, the Raiders have fired general manager Tom Telesco after just one season with the team.
“The Las Vegas Raiders have relieved Tom Telesco of his duties as General Manager,” the team said in a statement. “We appreciate his efforts in helping build a foundation for the future. We wish Tom and his family all the best.”

Telesco’s firing marks a full upheaval of the Raiders, who will now conduct a search for a new general manager on top of the current one for their next head coach.
The decision on Telesco comes as more of a surprise than the one on Pierce, as the same reports that believed Pierce would be fired largely considered the general manager safe.
How this move impacts the Raiders’ coaching search remains to be seen, but the Raiders now have more questions to answer this off-season.
This story is still ongoing. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
