Tyson Fury: ‘I don’t feel any pressure at all’

In the pre-fight workout for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk bout, much of the press was more focused on Fury’s beard than anything else.

In an interview with Yardbarker and Fightsatw, Fury was asked a series of questions about his upcoming fight.

Fury was asked about his thoughts and if he underestimates an opponent.

Fury replied, “Just a bit of progression I suppose.”

Fury was also asked what it was like to be the underdog in this fight and if it mattered to him.

He said, “Not really. I don’t feel any pressure at all. Just go in there and do what I’ve got to do and get out of there.”

Later in the interview, he was asked whether it ever made him think about the end of boxing and what else could be in store for him after his career.

He said, “I’ve tried to walk away many times and been unsuccessful. I meant it when I retired after Dillian Whyte back in 2022. I really meant that wholeheartedly. I could have put my hand on the Bible and meant it, but it was difficult to let it go. So, I’m not sure if I can ever let it go.”

Judging from Fury’s responses, he does not feel that he has anything to prove to anyone anymore.

Tyson Fury will be facing off against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21st on Pay Per View 11 p.m. GMT.
