Mock NFL Draft hints at who Raiders will take in first round

Since the Las Vegas Raiders are sitting with a 2-7 record, they will, unfortunately, be one of the top teams in the NFL Draft, that’s the bad news.

The good news is, that help may be on the way. According to SB Nation’s 2025 Mock NFL Draft, the Raiders are going to be seeking a quarterback in the first round and their eyes might be fixed on Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.

Ward is having a record-breaking year for the Canes throwing for almost 3500 yards and 32 touchdowns. He is well on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy and leading his team to the College Football Playoff.

Ward, right now, seems to be the top on everyone’s big board right now as their top QB prospect. As of Monday, the Raiders are expected to pick 5th in the draft.

Another name to look out for in the early stages of the draft is Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. Like Ward, Jeanty is also considered a Heisman candidate and is expected to go high in the draft.

Even if the Raiders are unable to get either player, there will still be several big names available to them in this draft that may be just as good as Ward and Jeanty.

One thing is certain, either player would bring much-needed help to this team.
