The Las Vegas Aces fell to the Atlanta Dream 78-74 on Friday night. The Dream now improve to 4-2 on the season, while the Aces are fall to 4-2.

Aces struggle to hold on in the second half
The Aces started the game off slow shooting just 4-19 in the opening quarter. A’ja Wilson was 4-9 from the field well the rest off the Aces were 0-10 from the field. In the second quarter the Aces would find their offense shooting 50% from the field but they would only lead 34-28 at the half.
Two minutes into the third quarter, the Aces would push their lead to eleven.Allisha Gray, who got hot in the third quarter, led Atlanta to a comeback. In the third quarter, Gray scored nine of her twenty-four points, going 3-3 from three point range.
Atlanta would take their first lead of the game since 8-5 after an Allisha Gray three pointer putting them up 47-45. Both teams would be tied heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter Aerial Powers would make a huge impact on the game for the Dream with her energy that brought the crowd into the game. Powers also got into it with Jackie Young late in the fourth quarter when the two exchange words resulting in a double technical.

With 1:25 left in the fourth quarter, the Aces managed to draw within one. They were unable to get any closer as the Dream went on to win the game 78-74 in the end.
The Atlanta Dream were led by a huge second half from Allisha Gray who began the game 0-7 but finished with 24 points going 6-7 from three. Rhyne Howard finished with 16 points and was the only other Dream player in double figures. Aerial Powers scored just seven points but the energy she brought in the second half helped push the Dream over the edge late.
A’ja Wilson led the way for the Aces scoring 28 points but her five game streak was ended as she only finished with 9 rebounds. Kelsey Plum finished with 19 points and knocked down her 400th career three pointer. Jackie Young who struggled to get going ended up finishing with 15 points 6 rebounds and 5 assist.
The Aces will have a few days off before going back on the road to take on the Dallas Wings on June 5th at 5pm on NBA TV.
