Vasiliy Lomachenko put on a display of brilliance against George Kambosos Jr. Lomachenko stopped Kambosos in the 11th round to win the vacant IBF lightweight championship Sunday Afternoon in Perth, Australia.

Completely different level of skill on display
Loma absolutely overwhelmed Kambosos with his legendary footwork which allowed him to constantly make him uncomfortable all night long. It became very clear early in the fight that Loma was on a different level. The consistent pressure that Loma was able to apply made Kambosos extremely frustrated and uncomfortable. As each round went on, you felt like Loma was connecting puzzle pieces together. As more pieces came together, it became apparent that it was only a matter of time before Loma was going to eventually stop Kambosos.
After a lopsided 10th round, Loma came into the 11th round smelling blood. He inflicted a vicious body attack on Kambosos that send him down twice causing Kambosos corner to throw in the towel.
“We trained hard for this moment. My plan was to adjust to my opponent. This is what I did during the fight and the end of the rounds I need to finish strong,”said Lomachenko. “I want to say big thank you to my opponent. He’s a strong man, he’s a true warrior. I want to say thank you to Top Rank who give me this chance, be a champion again. Bob Arum and, of course, for all people who support boxing, God bless you.”

Tank Davis called out the 36 year old but after the fight Loma didn’t engage in committing to the fight just yet but after tonight’s performance, we can see this mega fight coming to fruition soon.
